CSIA and Member Briefings
CSIA is proud today to announce that it has been selected as a Network Partner for Microsoft’s new BizSpark Program to unite software development start-ups and resources.
The program will provide start-ups with:
(1) “Expert access” to Microsoft tools and technologies, for their immediate use in design, development, testing, demonstration, and hosted application production and deployment; (2) Connections with Network Partners and a united, global community of support resources; and (3) Global visibility on the MicrosoftStartupZone website via the BizSparkDB, an online Startup directory, hosted on the MIcrosoftStartupZone website.
There is no cost to apply and all CSIA members are invited to participate (if eligible) through CSIA's Network Partnership.
To be eligible, companies need to be: (1) In the business of software development, (2) Privately held, (3) In business for less than 3 years, and (4) Have less than US $1 million in annual revenue.
To be eligible to use the software for production and deployment of hosted solutions, start-ups must also be developing a new “software as a service” solution (on any platform) to be delivered over the InternetWith the unsettled economy and wait-to-see attitude of many companies, your business still needs to succeed and grow. 12.16.08 R&D Tax Credits CSIA has been given the special opportunity to hear from a R&D tax credit expert, Brad White, Tax Partner from PricewaterhouseCoopers, who will be in town next week. Brad will give an introduction to the Research & Development ("Research") Tax Credit, highlight recent developments including new legislation that is advantageous for technology and software companies, and identify a number of IRS examination trends that may affect a company's ability to sustain the Research Tax Credits reported on a company's tax return.
